Two trims are available at our Newport News, VA BMW dealership: the 2026 BMW 230i and the 2026 BMW M240i. Both come standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive (RWD). The BMW brand’s xDrive® all-wheel drive (AWD) system is optional for each trim. For the 2026 BMW 230i, power is provided by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that outputs 255 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Zero to 60 time is 5.5 seconds with RWD and 5.3 seconds with AWD.
The 2026 BMW M240i upgrades to a 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder rated at 382 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. With RWD, it does 0 – 60 in 4.5 seconds – or 4.1 seconds with AWD. Other performance upgrades for this trim include upgrade brakes and an adaptive sport suspension.
Infotainment
The cabin of the 2026 BMW 2 Series Coupe blends comfort with connectivity. All trims pair a digital instrument panel with a 14.9-inch central touchscreen. This futuristic BMW Curved Display® is a nexus for premium tech features such as a navigation system, Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone integration, and a 10-speaker sound system. The latter can be upgraded to a 14-speaker Harman Kardon® premium audio system, which is available as a stand-alone option.
